Also headlining are Mercury Rev (Saturday) and Calexico (Sunday). Several more major artists are due to be announced in the coming weeks. The relatively intimate crowd of 5,000 attendees, plus local peacocks and parrots, will witness some huge cult names alongside a range of today's most talented rising stars in a bill that includes the following artists: Mercury Rev, Dirty Three, Low, American Music Club, Two Gallants, British Sea Power, Sun Kil Moon / Mark Kozelek, Billy Childish, Micah P Hinson, The Mountain Goats, Akron/Family, Kimya Dawson, Darren Hayman (Darren and Jack Play Hefner Songs), FM Belfast, Laura Marling, Devon Sproule, Angelo Spencer, Kelley Stoltz, Jeffrey Lewis, Jason Molina, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Bob Log III, The Wave Pictures, Woodpigeon and Friska Viljor Tucked away in the garden's glades and pathways, attendees might also stumble across the mysterious Library in the Woods, a Healing Retreat, surprise art installations, lovingly curated film and comedy tents and several of the surprise impromptu performances that have become the stuff of legend, as bands caught up in the spirit of the festival – often described as akin to an early Glastonbury - knock out a song with the aid of a handy woodland piano. Said festival organiser Simon Taffe: “I sold my house to put on this festival, and three years on it's even more the best thing I have ever done than ever before. We try and bring down the barriers between artists and festival-goers as much as possible, and all the surprises and spontaneous performances help create a sense that anything can happen. (28/04/08) We are so happy to be releasing the first UK single by Woodpigeon, titled "That Was Good But You Can Do Better" out on limited edition 7", B-side: "Knock Knock".
