Wild Nothing
Wild Nothing played at End Of The Road Festival 2011.

After the success of its debut album, Gemini, Wild Nothing returns with a fresh set of songs on the new EP Golden Haze. Jack Tatum the man behind the moniker has come a long way since leaving his Virginian roots. Since the release of Gemini Wild Nothing has received both National and International praise for his breathtaking strand of dream pop. Jackʼs songwriting in his final year of college led to what has become one of the best albums of the year.
In between touring with many noteworthy acts such as Neon Indian and Stars, Tatum found the time to write and record his newest collection of songs. Golden Haze runs a distinct, though not disparate course than Gemini. The songs
have more breathing room than Gemini, but they are part of the same musical fiber. Itʼs easy to get swept up in the darkly romantic tracks like “Your Rabbit Feet” and “Take Me In.” The title track, “Golden Haze” is as airy and light as one would imagine from the title. “Quiet Hours” is reminiscent of British twee and new wave staples, The Wake and New Order.
Inter-label collaborations and a follow up full-length album on label home Captured Tracks are in the future for Jack Tatum. Following the release of Golden Haze, Tatum and his band members have plans to tour Europe and the U.S. throughout 2011.
